• Account Information: When you sign in via Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address, full name, and assigned role (Student, Teacher, SVL, or Owner).
• Academic Data: Information regarding your enrolled courses, academic seasons, announcements, tasks, and quiz results.
• Content: Any files you upload (e.g., assignment submissions) or messages sent through the Direct Chat feature.

2. Use of Permissions

Our application requests specific permissions to function correctly:

• CAMERA: Used to capture images for profile updates or assignment submissions.
• STORAGE (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / MEDIA_IMAGES / MEDIA_VIDEO): Used to allow you to select and upload files/media from your device for academic tasks.
• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to sync data with our cloud services (Firebase) and check connectivity.

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to power the app's functionality:

• Google Firebase: We use Firebase for Authentication (identity), Firestore (database), and Cloud Messaging (FCM) for notifications. Data is handled according to Google's privacy standards.
• GitHub API: If configured, assignment submissions may be stored in specified GitHub repositories. Your storage configuration is stored securely.
• Coil: Used for efficient image loading from network sources.

4. Data Retention and Security

We retain your academic data as long as your account is active to ensure you have access to your educational history. We implement industry-standard security measures provided by Firebase to protect your data from unauthorized access.

5. Your Choices

You can update your profile information and notification settings directly within the app's settings screen. You may also request account deletion by contacting the system administrator.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
