• Local Processing: All file encryption and decryption processes occur locally on your device. We never have access to your files or the passwords you use to secure them.
• Biometric Data: If you enable the "Auto-Lock" feature, the app uses your device's built-in biometric system (Fingerprint/Face ID). AzCrypt does not have access to your actual biometric templates; it only receives a success/failure confirmation from the Android OS.

2. Permissions and Their Purpose

To provide its core functionality, AzCrypt requires the following permissions:

• Storage (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Necessary to browse, read, and write files that you wish to encrypt or decrypt.
• Media Access: Used to select specific images, videos, or audio files for secure processing.
• Biometric/Fingerprint: Required to provide the secure "Auto-Lock" functionality to prevent unauthorized access to the app.
• Internet & Network State: Used for optional features such as in-app purchase verification (Pro version) and checking for application updates.
• Notifications: Used to inform you when a long-running encryption or decryption task has been completed.

3. Data Security

The security of your data is our priority. Since AzCrypt operates entirely offline for its core functions (encryption/decryption), your data remains under your control. We utilize industry-standard encryption libraries (like Zip4j) to ensure that the files you encrypt are protected with robust security protocols.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

• Google Play Services: Used for app distribution and in-app billing (Google Play Billing Library).

5. Children’s Privacy

AzCrypt does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
